lesson objective
Students will explore the work of Bahamian/ Toronto-based artist Gio Swaby, who creates art work that examines black and feminine strength through bold patterned fabric and striking poses. Using fabric and collage techniques, students will create their own empowering portraits as influenced by their experiences, background and the people who inspire them.
