Our Role

Blank Canvases in contracted by the TDSB and TCDSB to train teachers to deliver art curriculum.

We offer workshops focused on providing teachers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to teach their own art lessons in the classroom.

WORKSHOPS

Teachers will engage in hands-on projects and activities. Through this, teachers will:

Gain practical experience, inspiration, and numerous ideas and teaching methods.

Use art as a vehicle to build critical thinking and problem-solving for students.

Employ practical strategies for sourcing sustainable and affordable art-making materials. 

Understand how to meet the Ontario Ministry of Education Learning Outcomes for Visual Art.

Apply progressive art pedagogy into practical and easy steps for any lesson design.
