lesson objective
By exploring the work of Toronto artist Meera Sethi, who creates art work that explores issues of identity, home, and belonging through a lens of fashion and style from Eastern and Western influences. Using fabric and magazine collage, children will create their own version of fashion designs as influenced by their experiences, background and the people and places who inspire them.

Learn vocabulary of art techniques and practices (theme, collage, assemblage)
Explore elements of design (shape and form, space, line, colour, texture and value)

Have an opportunity to explore the materials, tools and concepts
Be encourages to create art in a comfortable and supportive environment
Apply critical thinking skills in their analysis of artwork and the creation of their own artwork

One lesson is restricted to one class. Classes cannot be combined to reach the maximum size.

One lesson is a half-day length, which is approximately 3 hours. This timeframe accounts for:
set-up (45 minutes)
lesson time (2 hours)
clean-up (30 minutes)

Yes! We provide all art supplies and materials required for each lesson.

Yes! We highly encourage booking two lessons for a day!
For example, two different teachers can book lessons for the same day.
