create art, inspired by the natural world through hands-on exploration of plants, animals and landscapes, utilizing up-cycled materials and sustainable practises

Meet the Instructor

Rachel Pyfrom is a Toronto-based artist and experienced children’s art educator with over 10 years of experience designing and teaching youth arts programming.

Originally from Nassau, Bahamas, Rachel recently completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting at OCAD University. Her artistic practice explores themes of memory, family, and community through painting and other textile-based processes.

As an Artist Educator, Rachel leads creative programs and collaborative mural projects with students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 across Toronto schools with Blank Canvases. She holds a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and is passionate about helping children discover their creativity in a supportive studio environment.
